Hi! My name is Sarah Wenstrom. I am currently a senior at Michigan State University, studying elementary education. I feel that as an elementary education teacher I need to have a lot of experience and knowledge in literacy. Depending on what grade level I teach, whether it is early elementary or older elementary literacy will be very important in their lives.

Throughout this course, I hope to become better at picking text for my future classroom. I want to learn to become a better reader and to relate my reader to a more student perspective. I feel if I learn to relate to my students more, I will understand how they interpret their reading, which will allow for better discussion, projects, etc. I am very much looking forward to this class!!
